Zachary Meets Rascal Flatts

December 9, 2017

Zachary, 14, suffered a traumatic brain injury and stroke at the age of 6 and only has 40% brain function as a result. He is a great kid with a positive attitude and an amazing love for music. He has no memory before his injury, but has maintained a connection to the music of Rascal Flatts, something he shares with his mom. When she nominated him to see them in concert, we thought this was a great opportunity to make a special moment for this family. While at the concert, his mom managed to take our mission a step further by paying it forward!

“Zachary had the most amazing time. He was able to meet his all time favorite band, Rascal Flatts.  The smile on his face as he was talking to them was priceless.  Do It For The love granted us four meet and greet passes for us and our guest.  While we were there, we noticed a dad and his special needs son sitting in the row behind us.   I asked our guest to give up their meet and greet passes so I could give them to the man and his son behind us.  My guest were more than happy to do that.  I went up to this complete stranger and his son and asked them if they would like to meet Rascal Flatts with us.  The shock on their faces made my heart melt.  The dad was so appreciative, and the son who has trouble communicating expressed his love to me.   Do It For The Love is an amazing organization and I’m so happy that, because of you, not only was my son able to meet his favorite band, but I was able to bless another family and make their concert experience one they won’t forget.”
