Sara Talks about Vines & Vibes

Cancer has taken its toll on Michelle over the past few years, but it hasn’t dampened her spirit or her love for music. Her family has been by her side since her initial diagnosis of breast cancer in 2000 and her daughter nominated her for a wish grant, which we were happy to fulfill. Michelle and her family attended the Taylor Swift concert in Washington, DC and were even able to visit the sites of the city, which Michelle said made her “feel even prouder to be an American.”
“My diagnosis was very traumatic to all of us. We’ve always been a tight knit little family. Not only did I have Breast Cancer but I fractured my ankle the day that I was released from the hospital. Those 8 weeks were the toughest of my life. Completely dependent on my girls, more pain than anyone should ever have to feel, and depressed beyond belief. I had never had cancer before and I didn’t know what to expect. Nor how to get any help.
One of my all time dreams came true the night that we got to go to the Taylor Swift Concert. I felt ALIVE again for the first time in a very long time. I’ll never forget the messages she sent about girl power & friendships. The bond between my daughters and I just got STRONGER! I’ll never forget this trip.
I hadn’t been able to spend such amazing time with my daughters and my grandson in over TWO YEARS!! Thank you so much. I cannot tell you how thankful i really am. This was one of the best experiences of my life!! I’ll never ever forget it or who got me there. Thank you Do It for The Love.”
