Jules Sees Maroon 5

April 13, 2015

We received a heartfelt nomination from a friend of Jules, a teacher from San Diego who was diagnosed in 2012 with a non-curable stage 3 Follicular Lymphoma. She is a single mom who’s devoted to her 10-year old son. The two wanted to see their favorite band, Maroon 5 and we were so glad to help make it happen! We’re cheering for you, Jules. Keep up the good fight!

“After I was diagnosed with stage 3 Lymphoma 2 1/2 years ago, I tried extra hard to create and build memories with my son. One special bond we have is music!” Jules shared. “The incredible news that I was nominated for a concert came at a time that I really needed something to look forward to. I chose to see Maroon 5 because it’s one of our favorite bands and we both LOVE watching Adam on ‘The Voice’. We counted down the days until the Maroon 5 concert. I will never forget the joy on my son’s face as Maroon 5 took the stage, I knew it mirrored my own. We were both star struck as we sang along and danced to song after song. I woke up with no voice after singing my heart out!

I am thankful to Kristine for nominating me and I am so thankful to Do It For The Love. Do It For The Love is an amazing organization that brought so much hope and joy into my life through the gift of music. I feel blessed to have shared this experience with my son. I wear my shirt proudly and I’m inspired by your message of hope, healing and music. I share it with everyone I can. Thank you so much for this incredible memory! We added another beautiful, hopeful chapter to our story and had a night we will never forget!”
