Jessen Sees Kenny Chesney

May 8, 2015

We recently sent four-year old Jessen to see Kenny Chesney in concert and what a day he had! Jessen was diagnosed with neuroblastoma, a cancer that strikes young children, and is undergoing treatment for it currently. He was nominated by one of his social workers at UCSF hospital and we were glad to make this experience happen for him!

“Jessen had so much fun at the concert!” his mom said. “He is a very friendly little guy in general, and he made a lot of friends at the concert! He got lots of hugs, handshakes, high fives, and fist bumps from everyone there. They all cheered for him! Kenny Chesney definitely noticed him and waved to him and blew him kisses and Jessen started yelling, “He saw me! He saw me!” He was so excited. Some of the media people at the concert used their all access passes to get Jessenand I into the pit area to try and get him closer to the stage. We got pretty close and Jessen had a lot of fun in their and got to wave to Kenny some more. He already asked me when he could go to another concert! Thank you so much for Jessen’s big smiles!”
