Bertani’s Backyard Benefit Concerts Knock it Out of the Park
March 25, 2020
Seven year old Jesse loves music. Although, unlike other kids his age, Jesse spends much of his time attending daily speech, feeding, physical, occupational, music, and aquatic therapy to overcome obstacles he faces because his brain was not fully formed in utero. But – he does it to a soundtrack! Jesse is always singing, dancing, or drumming along to music.
Jesse will require two major surgeries this year, and his recovery will put him in a body brace or cast for several weeks. Afterwards, he will face the challenge of relearning all the skills he has been working so hard to master independently, including feeding, rolling, playing, and, of course, dancing!
Before his surgeries, Jesse was able to fill up on Christmas cheer at the Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer Live show at the Palace Theater in Columbus, Ohio on Saturday, December 16, 2017.
As if stepping into his own Winter Wonderland, Jesse loved every moment of the show. Afterwards, the ushers cleared out the audience and the majority of the cast stayed in character while they came up to meet with Jesse and his sister. Santa even brought a bag of goodies just for him!
Jesse’s family says, “We are so appreciative to Do It For The Love, the Palace Theater and their staff, and the cast of Rudolph the Red-Nosed Reindeer! This experience continues to be a topic of conversation as Jesse shares his amazing day, gifts, and pictures with everyone.”
