Jesse Meets Brantley Gilbert

February 8, 2016

Nominations for wish grants come from many different sources. Jesse, who is living with Cerebral Palsy, was nominated by his high school Geology teacher. She recognized Jesse’s love for music, especially country musician Brantley Gilbert, and reached out to Do It For The Love to try and make his wish come true. “She is really a very great teacher!” said Jesse. “She has gone far over and above, to help me, and make things easier and fun for me.”

We were glad to not just provide tickets to the show for Jesse, but also back-stage passes to meet Brantley before the show.

“Everyone was very friendly and helpful. Brantley Gilbert was very nice, helpful and fun. I got to meet his family and they treated me really good. He made extra time to spend with me, longer than with other people, which made me feel honored and blessed. This made for an exceptional experience after the year I’ve had. Thank you from the bottom of my heart for making this happen to enrich my life. It was a dream come true, as Brantley Gilbert is one of my favorite country artists.”
