Hannah Meets Twenty One Pilots

January 18, 2017

We recently received a wish grant application from 16 year old Hannah’s physician, Barbara. Barbara has been caring for Hannah since she was 18 months old, the age when Hannah was initially diagnosed with Systemic Onset Idiopathic Juvenile Arthritis. “Approximately a year and a half ago, Hannah was diagnosed with a second autoimmune disease – Type I Diabetes. Despite the medications, procedures and frequent hospital

visits, Hannah has maintained a positive attitude and an incredible outlook on life.”

Hannah’s love for live¬†music has remained a of source inspiration during her journey. She is even beginning to learn how to play the guitar. We were honored to grant Hannah a Twenty One Pilots VIP experience that ultimately “made the daily struggles just fade away¬†for a few hours.” Hannah shared with us what she remembered most about her experience, “I remember walking into the meet and greet and I was in so much shock that I was finally meeting my idols that I couldn’t move. The lead singer, Tyler Joseph, took my hands and pulled me into a big hug and told me he was happy to meet me. The concert made feel like a normal teenager having fun; singing and dancing to the music. Thank you for this life changing opportunity.”
