Benito Meets Aerosmith

September 2, 2015

Benito is a US Air Force Veteran living with chronic myeloid leukemia. He was nominated for a wish grant by his social worker and we were thrilled to give him the opportunity to mark the one-year anniversary of his bone marrow transplant with a concert and VIP back-stage access to the Aerosmith concert in Las Vegas.

“I want to thank you guys from the bottom of my heart,” Benito said. “It’s because of programs like Do It For The Love that people going through rough times in their lives are able to get through them and make those rough days go away. Even if it was only for an evening, it sure helps to lose yourself for a little while.”

We are grateful to Aerosmith’s management for creating a VIP experience for Benito that included a back-stage tour, meeting with the band, a goody bag and front-row seats.

“Once we started our journey behind the scenes it all happened very quickly -we got to go into each band member’s dressing room and shook hands as we all introduced ourselves. Some liked to hug like Steven Tyler. We had a light conversation with each one and of course photos and autographs. Some spoke more than others, like Steven Tyler… lol. After the meet and greet we left back stage and proceeded to find our seats. We were literally in the front row. The show was amazing and it was everything we expected and more.”
