Aubrey Meets The Cast Of The NY City Ballet Nutcracker

December 23, 2015

Aubrey’s mom had one wish for her daughter this holiday season – to finally be able to see the New York City Ballet’s performance of The Nutcracker. It was a wish her daughter held tight to for years, but was unable to fulfill due to the financial and physical toll of doctor’s bills.¬†Aubrey was born with a brain malformation that has caused her to undergo a number of invasive treatments including spinal and brain surgery. The family continues to explore treatments to improve her health. It warms our hearts that we were able to make this happen for Aubrey and her family, not just with tickets to the performance but also a back-stage experience with the dancers.

“I can’t say thank you enough,” said Aubrey’s mom. “She was just beaming with happiness the whole time from the time we sat down to the end when we met the dancers – she just was a ball of such energy that was contagious! She’s been through so much in her young life and for one night she was able to just focus on her excitement of living the dream of the Nutcracker. It was one night where we could let her be a normal kid who didnt have to worry about daily medical stuff. I just cant say thank you enough for allowing Aubrey to have this night of just pure happiness!”
