Aimee has been living with a rare form of brain cancer for several years now. She hoped to see Ed Sheeran and we are grateful to Ed and his team for welcoming Aimee and her family backstage to meet him at the Edmonton, Canada show.
We also are grateful to our “fanbassador” Lynn, who led the family through the experience.
“Thank you so much for sending me to the Ed Sheeran concert in Edmonton. It was an incredible night and the experience of a lifetime,” said Aimee. “The concert was amazing! It felt so unreal to have the front row center seats and to meet Ed Sheeran. I remember during the meet and greet before the concert I gave Ed Sheeran a bracelet that I had made for him, watching the concert I noticed that he wore that bracelet the whole time. The meet and greet was great, I was so impressed that Ed took time out of his busy schedule to meet with us, I will never forget that.
I think that Do it for the Love is an amazing idea because for me, and I’m sure lots of other kids with medical problems, when the attention’s on me it’s always for doctors appointment’s or tests or scans but this time it was something good. It was like a break from real life, it was a night where I didn’t need to think about medical issues or anything, I could just enjoy myself. When life gets tough I’ll always have this to look back on and help me get past the hard stuff. Thank you so much for this unforgettable experience.”
