Music Will Always Be In Her Heart

Belinda, 49, is living with ALS. Despite what it's taken away from her physically, music remains in her heart.

"My disease has taken away so much but what I miss most is my ability to speak and sing... I sang in musicals and played my flute. Can't do either. Progression has also limited my mobility, and ability to swallow. Music brings me joy as it's the one thing I can do that doesn't require a lot of energy."

In August, she and her husband saw P!ink live!

"Words can not express how grateful I am to your organization for granting my wish to see an artist I've wanted to see live for 15 years. Music truly is a healing experience.

I rarely get out of the house or have anything to look forward to. It was an amazing night out with my husband. To see his happiness watching me dance in my chair, trying my best to sing along, and really enjoying the show melted my heart.

When she sang 2 of her newer songs, 'Perfect' and 'Turbulence,' both relatable to me and my ALS. I cried. Not tears of sadness but a reminder of my inner strength. I have not yet come down from the adrenaline rush of joy I felt!"
